All is not what it seems!!!

Date: 28 Sep 2006

The green bag has received a lot of press lately about how it benefits the environment because of its ability to be reused. This is an irrefutable fact and the resultant effect is the reduction of the use of the single serve petroleum based plastic shopping bags.

What they don't tell you:

The green bags are manufactured from 100% non-woven polypropylene(PLASTIC) that takes hundreds or even thousands of years to break down, depending who you believe. The point being that the bags could ultimately end up in land fill where the existing conventional bags may end their lifecycle.

Result:

We are only delaying the original problem (the use of the plastic bags in whatever form) for our kids to fix.

"A selfish attitude I would've thought! "
